Christopher Toth

Trainee Assistant Editor

Christopher Toth is an up-and-coming Indigenous Cree-Canadian filmmaker and aspiring video editor with a passion and love for the Alberta film industry. From a young age Chris had always made use of his ample imagination, by creating video and music based content for his family’s personal entertainment.

Graduating from the SAIT Film and Video Production program, Christopher produced, wrote, edited and acted in his debut music video “For My Beloved,” composed the score for the short documentary “BODIES,” was the editor and grip for the short documentary “VOICES” and acted as the script supervisor for the 5 minute dramatic short film “Earthbound.” All premiering at the SAIT 2021 Film Festival.

Before his journey in film, Christopher worked with his mother in the shipping department under the local Indigenous-Canadian company known as “Mocs n More,” helping a larger community embrace the beauty and appreciation for his culture and art behind it.

Christopher now finds himself working at Prairie Dog Film + Television as the Trainee Assistant Editor, where he can begin his true transition into the world of film and television.
